This is the only big chest I have, I must confess. The chest came over from Germany with my family on my dad’s side and was passed on to me after my Grandmother died. My mom lined it with cedar and I keep sweaters in it. It not only keeps my sweaters moth-proof but my memories, too, tying me to my past as well as beautifying my bedroom.
My big fat cedar chest

Beautiful! It makes me want one.
I wish I had another one so that each of our girls could have one…one day in the future. Glad you like it.
I have never seen one with such ornate metal pieces. So glad you know the history behind it.
I did catch the “big chest” joke in the first part of the post. You are funny!
Glad you caught it. It’s true and I’m totally OK with it. As an athlete, I’d rather not haul baggage (so to speak in the context of this post) around. 🙂
Me, too. The history makes it even more special.
