“Was this the face that launched a thousand ships, and burnt the topless towers of Ileum?”
–Christopher Marlowe

“What is a face, really?  Its own photo?  Its make-up?  Or is it a face as painted by such or such painter  That which is in front?  Inside?  Behind?  And the rest?  Doesn’t everyone look at himself in his own particular way?  Deformations simply do not exist.”

–Pablo Picasso

(Thanks to our daughter for letting me share these.  Do not use these pictures without consent from her.  Her website is http://dontwaittonight.wordpress.com/.  You can catch up with more of what she’s doing there.)

when she was two years old, we would draw on computer paper I had brought home, and she was already better than I.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
