The leaves (of) fall

This morning I opened the curtains to a scattered crop of leaves gracing the lawn,
their greens, yellows and reds brightening the grey fall morning.
I wish the sun were shining,
highlighting the leaves’ lambent beauty
as they begin their way
from living green
to life-giving mulch.

  1. Aren’t the leaves gorgeous!? I was just looking at the aspen trees out the window and the wind blew a bunch of the beautiful yellow leaves through the air. It was so pretty against the beautiful blue sky! 🙂 Have a great day!
