This morning I opened the curtains to a scattered crop of leaves gracing the lawn,
their greens, yellows and reds brightening the grey fall morning.
I wish the sun were shining,
highlighting the leaves’ lambent beauty
as they begin their way
from living green
to life-giving mulch.

Thanks for reading and commenting. Glad you enjoyed it.
Aren’t the leaves gorgeous!? I was just looking at the aspen trees out the window and the wind blew a bunch of the beautiful yellow leaves through the air. It was so pretty against the beautiful blue sky! 🙂 Have a great day!
Aspen are beautiful even during the summer. I’m glad you have a chance to enjoy them. Make me think of Wyoming!!! 🙂
The aspen is my favorite tree. I love how the leaves move in the wind! It makes me think of Wyoming too! 🙂
The sound is what I really like.
So do I! 🙂
