Some of these pics could have almost been taken in some of the ‘stately homes’ in the Uk – almost but not quite! Facinating and sometimes quirky pics! Thank you for sharing.

  2. What beautiful staircases! The curving ones are amazing to look at – though not necessarily to climb: when I was very small we lived in a building with a curving staircase, and I kept getting scared by the way the steps tapered down to nothing. Then again, I was only three at the time 😉

    • This was also a tightly curving staircase, which might be easier because you can’t see between the stops as well. When I was small, we visited a lighthouse and I couldn’t make it up the steps. It’s taken me years to deal better with heights.

      • 😀

By the way, now that I look at the photos again, is number four the same staircase as number one (and the last one)? I can’t decide.

      • All three curving staircases are the same, but the one looking down is, well, looking down. I just liked both os the other pictures and couldn’t decide which I liked better. I have another one, too. 🙂

  3. Gorgeous photos!
