  1. Yummmm!!! And it is so pretty! What did you get? 🙂

    • We split a cherry cheesecake and each got gussied up hot chocolate. They also have chocolate (non-alcoholic) drinks served in martini glasses. The space itself is so beautiful that I’d love to just sit there. My favorite place in downtown Naperville, although it’s a bit pricey to frequent often. My very favorite place is TeaLula, which I’ve written about before, but that’s way up in Park Ridge unfortunately. However, we’re going there today after lunch at another favorite, Mitsuwa Marketplace. (If you want to read and see pictures of either place, you can search my site or look under the “Tea time” category for TeaLula. Wish you could join us!!

      • Cherry cheesecake sounds delicious – so does the hot chocolate! I can imagine how you would want to just sit there, so would I! 🙂 I’ll have to look at your other posts about TeaLula and the Mitsuwa Marketplace. I wish I could join you too!

      • Hopefully it won’t be long until I’m here full time (pray for the sale of the house) and you’re not that far from Chicago (and if you have a place to stay…). 🙂

      • I will definitely keep your house in my prayers. It would be nice to stop and see you on our way to Michigan to see my family in June. I would love to meet you!!! My sister and I are planning a trip to Wyoming the beginning of June. We want to take our daughters to see where we lived. When is your next trip there?

      • Probably in late July/early August. We’ll see what we can work out.

I am so going to check this place out 🙂

  3. Ding Dong! I’m late. I’m late! But I’m here now. Wow. Le Chocolat du Bouchard is gorgeous. So are your shots!! What to order? So you tried the gussied up hot chocolate. I’ll have the same. I keep scrolling up and down the post. Lovely details. I’m also ready to move in the joint!. The birdcage lighting fixtures are also beautiful. Let’s not forget to mention the tarts and cakes. Dreamy! What’s in the little bags in the bottom shot? Did they play music? I love this find. The place reminds me of Ladurée!! T. (Thanks for the swell shout out! Happy New Year!!)

    • When the owner opened the first side (not in these shots), I decided I would love to have the space for an apartment. She also did all the decorating on the bakery side as well and it’s beautiful, too. Not sure about the little bags but if I get back, I’ll check and let you know. The place just begs to be photographed, although I did ask first. You would love everything about it, so I’m glad you got to see it at least a little bit. A tiny payback for my trips to Paris on your blog. 🙂
