Spring?–a haiku

On the evening of this first day of spring, we’re under a lake effect snow advisory until Friday noon. March is certainly going out like a lion and the snow is already falling.
So I offer you this spring haiku, in a hopeful, but ironic spirit.

Flirty snowflakes swirl
Giddily in rapturous dance
Tenacious winter

  2. … great – and sadly it’s true. Where is the spring?

    • Hiding under the snow? At least the sun’s out this morning and it’s beautiful. I’m working inside on floors, though, so I have to remember to look out once in awhile! 🙂

  3. Tenacious indeed! I can’t believe you are supposed to be in Spring and it’s snowing!!

    • Yup! We have about 3″ or so on the ground and are supposed to get more before Friday. However, it hasn’t been snowing hard, so that’s good. It is beautiful, though.

  4. All we get is rain, but we are already in the low 70’s

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
