Daffodils emerge Lifting buttery faces Towards celestial twin
Yellow flower spears Bravely ignoring weather Rend the foggy air
Dear Janet,
Nice Haikus. I like that you write these.
Aloha,
Doug
Thanks, Doug. I think they’re the Friday Fictioneers of poetry in that you have to be succinct and chose your words carefully.
Fabulous Friday to you,
janet
Dear Janet, Love the haikus. Love the flowers. Daffodils and lilacs…nothing says spring better than these. Shalom, Rochelle
The lilacs are in the bud stage right now. We have three bushes–one with white, one lilac and one purple (Deep Purple?). They’re beautiful. Hopefully today’s pouring rain won’t crush the daffodils.
My favorite spring flower! Have a great weekend. xx
You, too. We’re getting lots of rain right now, so hopefully the daffodils won’t get smashed. Looking forward to more spring flowers!
Buttery faces – renting the air. How perfectly splendid. Virginia
Thanks, Virginia, and thanks for coming by. Look forward to seeing you again.
Really beautiful. I tried haiku’s this week too. They’re an excellent way of focussing the mind!

How interesting to see daffodils at this stage, almost born! I’ve never noticed them this way before.
They’re rather unobtrusive that way, much more noticeable when they’re in full bloom. These are the teen years, I think. 🙂
I love when the daffodils come up in our yard! We used to love to look at all the flowers when the front yard was in bloom!
They are beautiful and the quintessential spring flower!
