What’s clear depends on where you’re focused.
Where’s your focus?

  1. That makes a beautiful gateway to focus on the beauty lying ahead

    • Catherine Louise Gurganus says:

I like your take on the pictures.

My focus tends to be on the here and now, though I appreciate the little things God provides to show me that there are beautiful moments to come…that I only need wait, and then those beautiful moments will be the here and now.

Keeping my focus on the present; however, keeps me from living in the past or letting my dreams of the future keep me from dealing with life as it is now.

      • Catherine, I agree that we need to keep focused on the present but as a Christian, our focus has to also be on the future in heaven, as that informs how we live. Dreams are good but not if they distract you from living now. As with so much else, a healthy balance is what’s required: remembering, but not living in or being dragged down by, that past; concentrating on the present as we keep our dreams alive and focus on getting where we’re going in the future.

  2. Catherine Louise Gurganus says:

Janet, you are correct in that our first focus is God, and how He wants us to live. It’s His Word that tells us how we should live and I know that I have to spend time reading and studying the Bible every day if my focus is to be on Him and His Kingdom.

I have to admit I am so easily distracted by the things of this world. I spent much of my life focused on myself and what I wanted until, by the grace of God I gave my life to Him. It took me a while to discover that my life would only change if I kept my focus on Him.

  3. Deb Weyrich-Cody says:

Watching the wonder of life unfold, I never cease to be amazed at the wonder of God’s Kingdom unfurling. Right here. Right now. We are all – everyone and everything – an integral, inseparable part of the kingdom and responsible for it.
They make a lovely frame for your vista – good luck with your(?) vines.

    • Deb, they aren’t my vines, just some I spotted while on a walk. But you’re right that God’s kingdom is amazing and spring is the time to see it growing.

      Enjoy your Friday,
