  6. JY says:

I gain a certain kind of energy when i am around the mountains. Ever felt the same feeling before?

    • I feel that and I feel peace as well. The mountains for me are a place where it always feels like one small piece is put back into the puzzle of me, making me feel complete. It’s not that I’m not happy elsewhere; I’m just happier there.

  7. Wonderful leading lines here…That scenery is gorgeous..I would love to escape here for a spell!

    • Thanks! I’m glad to be able to do some amount of justice to the beauty of it. If you ever get to Wyoming, the Big Horn Mountains are the place to be. Lovely and much less populated than the Jackson/Teton area.

but sometimes I escaped from the country to a metropolis to get inspired …

    Hi, Janet )
When I was writing my answer to your comment, I’d not yet come here. But your picture is exactly what I was writing about! Marvelous!

    • Thanks very much, Art, (at least guessing the “art” in your address is your name and a play on words as well.) If you enjoyed the picture even a fraction as much as I enjoy being there, I’m satisfied.

  13. breathless / could sit on the fence post all day
thanks for sharing the beauty of the momentary escape

    • My pleasure. I could sit on the fence all day, too, if the horses weren’t calling to me. I can sit on the cabin porch once the day’s done (or in the morning) and just relax.

  15. Wyoming – God’s country! What a wonderful get-away.
Thanks for visiting my “escape” post, too – enjoy the summer!

    • Yes, it is, Melanie–both God’s country and a wonderful get-away. I plan to enjoy the summer (although I wish I were there the entire time) and you enjoy yours as well.

  22. Pete says:

oh I know just know how you feel, I live in Scotland and 20 minute drive to one of the largest national parks in Scotland and I have my spots where I go and spendva while where its so quiet except for nature in your ears, you lay in the warmth of the purple heather and the Sky Lark sings you her song of the summer, the bubbling as the river passes over the rocks. with the pillow of moss and the clean air fills your lungs. There is no better escape.

    • I was in Scotland in the 70’s, in Inverness and near Skye. What a beautiful place!

      • Pete says:

I am on the north east, I wouldn’t live any where else, there is a saying
‘Ye may gang fae and fae awa’ ‘
You may go far and far away- Basically, where every you go in the world you will always return to Scotland one day. Scotlands, lowlands, highlands, islands and its people will stay in your heart forever. ♡ 😀

  23. Nature is calling – it was my escape as well!
