For your Monday soul…
“And lavender, whose spikes of azure bloom
shall be, ere-while, in arid bundles bound
to lurk admist the labours of her loom,
and crown her kerchiefs witl mickle rare perfume.”
William Shenstone The School Mistress 1742
I love lavender! Mine is not quite flowering yet, so thankyou for this sweet reminder! I wish I could smell it through the computer screen 🙂
I’m glad to be able to remind you and I wish I could send you some smells. My two small bushes remind me of the glory of the acres of lavender in Provence (in a very, very small way.)
Have a sweet Monday.

My soul needed that this morning.
Sadly this post has made me realise that in our gardening cull we have lost a lavender plant… I’m hoping more can be uncovered further up the garden!
Isn’t it great when just the right post shows up when you need it? I’m glad this one helped. When we move, I won’t have any lavender again, at least until I get some planted again. 😦 I hope you find some more, too.

I love lavender fields – it looks like a wonderful purple world.
And they smell so good!!! 🙂
I planted lavender this year and can’t wait to harvest and bring that scent indoors! ❤
I hope you get lots of it. It’s so much fun to make bundles of your own lavender!

Your lavender is beautiful! My lavender didn’t make it through the winter. I didn’t cover it and we’re borderline zone 3/4.
Awww, that’s too bad. When I get the house sold and moved, I hope to get some lavender at the rental house, too.
