Cape May – a cold blustery day…
And don’t forget the high winds that were blowing the sand and making it almost impossible to hole my iPad steady enough for pictures.
Fantastically suggestive…I can hear that water roar!
The water was roaring, it was cold and the wind was terrible. I could hardly hold the iPad steady enough to shoot, but I’m glad I kept at it.

You did very well indeed to insist, really great!

WOW !
Thanks very much. I was hoping for a “wow” photo when I was shooting.

That is a WOW photo for sure 🙂
Cool sunset, with very nice waves!
Thanks. Took quite a few shots but many were fuzzy because of the wind.
Oh, I hear you, the wind can really mess up photos. The colors are lovely, bright on top, dark at the bottom. I love contrasted shots like that.
It was one of the most stunning sunsets I’ve ever seen and I’m sure my picture doesn’t do it justice.
Well, I think it’s better than no photo at all! I hate it when I see something truly amazing and I can’t capture it.

Beautiful world, Janet! 🙂
Thanks! If I’ve conveyed even a small portion of the beauty of that sunset, I’m happy.

Thank you very much, Joan, and thanks for dropping by. I love visitors.

hi Janet: “The water was roaring,
it was cold and the wind was terrible.
I could hardly hold the iPad …”

thank you that you made it through,
an d now we can share an image
like a painting of “fire vs. water”
I keep thinking an alien spacecraft is going to show up. 🙂 I was a bit concerned that the blowing sand was going to scratch the iPad. That’s how bad it was. So pleased you liked the shot…and the effort that went into getting it. 🙂

I am a sucker for sunsets!
Me, too. Thanks for coming by and for the comment.

My pleasure! I posted a second one. A picture with me in it as a spectator in a mirror. Hope you like that one too.
Beautiful shot.
Thanks very much. I’m glad you like it.

I know that you’re talented, but what amazes me is the fact that you shot this on an iPad- I can’t do a thing with my camera phone, so I can’t imagine making such a photo with similar equipment.
What a sweet (of course, from the mistress of sweet) thing to say, Hannah! The wonderful iPad camera is one of the reasons I love my iPad, perhaps even the number one reason. I have a dumb phone, so I don’t take pictures with it, although it will. When I finally have to get a smart phone, I may have to get an iPhone just for the camera. I have a new digital SLR but haven’t had enough time yet to get out the DVD that goes with it to figure out what all the bells and whistles are for and how they work! 🙂

I love any picture of the ocean. This is a fabulous and unusual composition. I am so glad you battled the elements for this gem.
Joe, thanks for stopping by and for the compliment. I was glad, too, especially once I was back inside the van!

Beautiful
Good morning, Cathy, and thank you. 🙂

wow -sunset, Superman or the end of the world?
I know! Alien invasion is another alternative. Fortunately, it was just the ultimate photo for a wonderful vacation. 🙂

Wow, this looks like a fierce place. Only for the toughest.
It’s really quite beautiful and peaceful most of the time. This evening was just particularly windy and wild.
