hi Janet: “The water was roaring,
it was cold and the wind was terrible.
I could hardly hold the iPad …”

thank you that you made it through,
an d now we can share an image
like a painting of “fire vs. water”

    • I keep thinking an alien spacecraft is going to show up. 🙂 I was a bit concerned that the blowing sand was going to scratch the iPad. That’s how bad it was. So pleased you liked the shot…and the effort that went into getting it. 🙂

  18. I know that you’re talented, but what amazes me is the fact that you shot this on an iPad- I can’t do a thing with my camera phone, so I can’t imagine making such a photo with similar equipment.

    • What a sweet (of course, from the mistress of sweet) thing to say, Hannah! The wonderful iPad camera is one of the reasons I love my iPad, perhaps even the number one reason. I have a dumb phone, so I don’t take pictures with it, although it will. When I finally have to get a smart phone, I may have to get an iPhone just for the camera. I have a new digital SLR but haven’t had enough time yet to get out the DVD that goes with it to figure out what all the bells and whistles are for and how they work! 🙂
