    Ah family photographs are the best, tales full of happiness and tribulations, all the colours one remembers of their life. And that faded appearance so familiar, the very colour of nostalgia. Wonderful, and I thank you for sharing your memories 🙂

      I do, too, Joe. I’m trying to get my dad to write or record his memories of growing up on the farm as that’s something that’s so different now and often gone for good.

        My mom and dad are both gone and so is so much family hostory. It makes me sad when i dwell on it so I choose not too. I cannot express how happy I was to get the replacement bulb for my dad’s old Bell and Howell projector and see the home movies flash to life. Now I have to get my camcorder ready and capture the memories before this brittle film completely falls apart.

        I have lots of my photo memories on slides, so one day I’ll have to get them put on DVD’s, although that’s not cheap. My parents have all our childhood memories on slides as well.

        Do you have a slide projector? If so you can do it yourself. That is what I am trying to do, due to the cost of the conversion.

        I have a slide viewer but I don’t think I have a projector. My parents do, though. How would you do it yourself?

    There’s so much fun to be had from old photographs. These days my photos are stored on my computer – will our grandchildren enjoy the same access to them that we have?
