Welcome rain descended on us Friday for a good part of the afternoon.  We sat on the porch, listening to the earth sing, watching the flowers dance with joy.  Later, the clouds floated into the low places.

Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystal snowflakes – every form of animate or inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon the soul of man.
~Orison Swett Marden

Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.
~Rabindranath Tagore

It is better to have your head in the clouds, and know where you are…than to breathe the clearer atmosphere below them, and think that you are in paradise.
~Henry David Thoreau

Hi Janet, It looks such a wonderful place, I could do with some of that myself.

  2. Helena Hann-Basquiat says:

What part of the world do you live in, darling? Those look like Appalachian mountains, but for some reason (I haven’t the — ahem — foggiest why) I thought you lived in the Pacific Northwest.
Lovely and grey — I welcome the rain today.

    • Right now we’re on our annual vacation to the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming–NE corner, almost in Montana. We’re working on selling our house in Cleveland and getting us both moved to the Chicago suburbs. 🙂 “The foggiest idea”…ha! I have friends who live in Seattle, so I get the pun.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
