It’s the second Monday of the month, which means the Phoneography Challenge is “Macro.” Any photo you take with a phone of any type or with an i-Thingy is eligible and it’s a nice group of wonderful photographers, so feel free to join in the fun. You can find the “rules” and this week’s entries by clicking on the word “Macro” in the opening sentence.

As for my entry this week, I have no idea what plant this is but its sci-fi-style of intricate beauty  drew me to it as soon as I spotted it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. My disclaimers–the photo was taken with an iPad and hasn’t been edited at all.

    Great Pic. Janet.

  2. Dear Janet,

Did you mean to write “second Monday of the week”? I know it often feels that way, but I think you might’ve meant “second Monday of the Month.” Aside from that, stunning photo as always.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

  3. Engaging and surreal–happy Phoneography Monday.

  4. Nice, out-of-the-galaxy frame, Janet. If you continue shooting like this with your iPad, you’ll live long and prosper. 🙂

  5. Macro photography is so much fun! It truly opens up a whole different world that we otherwise overlook, and your crazy alien plant is an excellent specimen to explore further. Such texture and detail in one tiny package… Amazing.

Cool close-up of a Queen Anne’s Lace. I like how these flowers open up — their structure is really neat.
