Beautiful. As I grow older, my need for solitude and moments alone seems to increase and so does the enjoyment of my own company. Nothing lonely about it. In our hectic lives I think the moments of peace are completely necessary! Thanks for the reminder,,,, I will have to find some today.

    • One lesson I learned during high school was to be comfortable by myself, a valuable lesson even if one that can be difficult to learn. I think too many people equate solitude with loneliness and they certainly aren’t (or shouldn’t be) the same. We all need time to relax and take a break, especially in an age of technology where people, virtual or otherwise, seem to always be around. I hope you find your quiet space today, Neens.

When I was teaching, a major complaint was that I did not have time to think! That time for imagination and thought solves everything.
I’m losing myself in the photo this morning. Three of my favorite things–water, rocks, and wooden boats with oars.

    • “I don’t even have time to think” is too often really true. Taking time to be alone and to let the mind wander, often the precursor to real thought, isn’t wasted, but necessary and healthful. I’m glad you had some time this morning to enjoy the photo. 🙂

In this ever-crowded world, this particular slot sometimes gives you the only time to ‘breathe’.
    Hope you enjoyed your Sunday.
