Weekly Photo Challenge: Family

When we visited Yellowstone last summer, I dreamed of what it must have been like to see a herd of bison families so large it stretched as far as the eye could see.  The families of the Indians depended on those of the bison and made use of every part of each animal killed.

If you have time, visit the Weekly Photo Challenge yourself and see the varied interpretations of “Family.”  You won’t be disappointed.  Thanks to my fellow photographers, and others, who visit this week. I’m still enjoying the beauty and warmth of Arizona and my limited internet availability and time means I won’t be able to reciprocate much.  I appreciate your visit and comments and look forward to getting back into the give-and-take next week.

A heart-warming sight INDEED! And you still out there wandering … yet managing to keep up. And with a haiku for introduction yet. Words fail. 🙂

    • I think I know you well enough now to say I’m pretty sure words don’t fail. 🙂 We saw so many bison in Yellowstone this summer and some very close to the van. What fun!

And shortly back to the daily grind? It’ll be nice to have you unabbreviated, Janet. I am hoping for a delivery today tomorrow that will enable me to detail My Grand Plan.

      • A Grand Plan? I’ll look forward to hearing it. I fly back Wednesday afternoon and then, like Gandalf, I’ll be Janet Unchained. :-). Yes and back with Bill, which makes it not a grind at all.

May these bison live a long and happy life.

I love movies of the 1800s when the dramatize this. There was someone across the street from me that had some hybrid a few years ago and it was interesting to think about the big herd.
