As the end of the month approaches, we participants in the Phoneography Challenge are loosed to choose our theme (from a suggesed list.) 🙂 I just returned from two lovely, warm weeks in Arizona, so my choice this month is “Travel.” I hope you’re somewhere warm right now, but if not, take a bit of warmth from these photos. You won’t even need suntan lotion.
The first photo was taken with an iPad 5s, using the panoramic feature (love that feature!!) The other two were taken with my iPad. There was no editing used on any of the photos.
Sunrise in Mesa, from behind my parents’ house…
Cliff dwellings at Montezuma Castle…
Friendly natives at Gilbert Ortega Museum and Gallery in Scottsdale…
The Southwest is one of my favorite places in this country of ours. It always boosts my spirituality and adoration for nature. The image of the cliffs is my favorite. It has a patina that makes me think dwellers from the past will emerge. Happy Phoneography Monday.
I realize now that if done in sepia, it would have looked even more so. A shot for another time…in both senses of the word.

The cliff dwellings photo is fantastic!
Thanks, Angeline. It was a joy to visit there once again.

The cliff dwellings photo is remarkable! Beautiful capture of the sunrise. I’ll have to try my iPad … 🙂
When I was taking pictures with my iPad at the Chihuly exhibit, I heard a number of people exclaiming behind me that the iPad really takes great pictures. Should have gotten a kickback from Apple!

That’s good to know… I’ve had my iPad for a while, I should give a try.
The sunrise is from the iPhone, BTW.

Interesting cliff dwellings, do you get to climb up there?
Up until the 50’s, people could still climb up there but then the dwellings were closed to better preserve them. When I was little, we went through several cliff dwellings but I don’t know how many are still open.

What an amazing collection! I love 4th Mondays they give us a chance to share intimate details of our lives. I like the last photo of wooden Indians then and now very touching,
The Phoneography Challenge is always fun, isn’t it?
I love the sunrise panorama! Lovely colors!
Thanks. I really enjoy the panorama function, so I’m glad others to, too. Thanks for the visit.

I love the panorama feature so I’m glad when others like the shots. And sunrises (or sets) are hard to beat. Thanks for the visit.

Oh, wow, that panorama is nothing short of amazing! I try not to be a camera snob, but I must admit, I’m very impressed that it came from an iPad. Now I want to go out and try shooting some panoramas around here, too.
Hannah, the panorama is from the iPhone 5s. The others are from the iPad.
That panorama shot is crazy cool. I’m going to have to do that kind of thing… I really need to get a lense for my iPhone4.
One of the reasons my first smart phone (only a few months ago) was the iPhone 5s–the camera and the panorama feature. 🙂
