On Sunday, our long-delayed and awaited mother-daughter trip actually began. Pipped at the post on our first attempt several years ago, we flew from this…
over this…
to this…
I wasn’t able to get a photo of the monkey that ran across the balcony rail about a foot in front of us and which then emerged nearby with a baby on its back.
Monday morning was our down day and we headed down to the beach, where we spent a lovely time.
Here’s one we did catch, though, but only on camera.
Lovely day, wonderful company. And as Scarlet once famously said, “Tomorrow IS another day.” Thanks for joining us!
Oh, you poor miserable bastards. What a life. 😦
Still, someone has to do it, eh?
Sighh …
never mind: soon you’ll be back home with water up to dolly’s wax…
[grin]
Another great day today as well!! :-p
Oeuf course! – all the weather gods love you, Janet!
Not in Chicago but here so far it’s been great. Hot and humid but great.
Oh. Then you might as well have come to Sydney, if that’s what you wanted.
:-\
I’d love to visit Sydney some day!
Better make it soonish if you plan to include seeing me … I feel about a thousand, today.
Even the photos give me a little hope that we will get better weather soon. Thanks :o)
I’ll send some your way. We’ll be going back to cold and snow on Saturday.
Congratulations!

Enjoy your lovely island getaway–you chose the perfect year and month to escape. Great use of your pictures to tell your story.
Thanks, vb. It’s quite a shock to go from zero and feet of snow to hot and humid and it will be a shock to go back. But it’s so different and beautiful here.
