I should have known!  I’ve been waiting and waiting for a “Reflections”  theme, but decided to use one of my favorite reflections for last week’s “Inside” theme.  Drat!  The good thing, though, is that I can use another photo that I like and have been saving.

  1. Stunning. I need to read back in your posts to learn more about how you developed your amazing eye!

    • I’m not sure you’ll find anything. 🙂 I just like to really look at things and the great thing about digital photography is that I can try and get rid of what I don’t like. We were in San Francisco when I took this and it took me ages to get anywhere because I kept seeing things I thought would make good photos. But it was lots of fun!!

      • I’m guessing you need to travel with others who take their time. I’m beginning to understand what you mean In playing with my own photos lately. It’s a whole new world.

  2. What an incredibly beautiful photo!

I love this. It’s serene and mysterious. Now you’ve got me inspired to find a “reflections” photo. 🙂

Well, that’s a great picture for this theme.

  14. Amy says:

Great capture! Like a abstract painting.

    • It is, isn’t it, Amy? I think it feels very peaceful. I have another similar shot of the same place that has a pink flower in it, but I’d used that one on my blog before, so I went with this one.

  15. Janet – that is such a lovely photo! It definitely is a literal reflection but more so it gives the sense of “reflection” in the abstract sense too! Absolutely love it!

  16. oh this is so beautiful. happy weekend Janet

  25. Tina Schell says:

Very lovely shot – perfect for the challenge- but don’t you just hate it when that happens?!?!?!

    • 🙂 I do, Tina. I have lots of reflection shots, as I love those, so I’ll use them somewhere. It was a struggle not to use about ten, but I didn’t have the narrative to go with the disparate shots as you did with your connected ones.

I like the image and the way you processed it very much – thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting, leading me here. Reflections are such a tempting subject aren’t they?

    • Reflections, at least to me, are wonderful. I had to control my urge to share about ten of them, but hopefully another time they’ll be appropriate for the theme, or I’ll just use them on my blog. Thanks for stopping in!

  29. Oh this is so supremely beautiful 🙂 🙂 🙂 Wonder why it did not show up in my reader list :O
