It’s difficult to get a decent shot of these cuties as when you get too close, not only do they waddle away, but the adults get very upset and start hissing and coming at you. I’m rather good at preemptive hissing but got these from the car. These guys were at the post office, perhaps mailing a letter.
Aww, that’s my favorite sort of Gosling, for sure! I’m amazed at how close you got, and without getting mauled, either. I’m always terrified that the mama goose will peck me to death if I try snapping a photo of her babies. They’re the ultimate paparazzi deterrent.
The parents are very, very protective, Hannah, that’s for sure. If on foot, I’ve perfected the preemptive hiss and walk quickly past. I stay very close to the van, as these guys were near the post office parking lot, and zoomed my phone as much as possible and then cropped and made the photo larger when editing. I have lots of failure photos of goslings, too. 🙂
Awwwwwww…………soooo cute;)

I love this. What a gorgeous family portrait, Janet! Very sweet. T.
They’re pretty cute but hard to photograph. This is from the van.

Ah I love little goslings!!
Much like pigs and cows, they’re really cute when small and not so great when older. 🙂
