Wield with Care

Combinations of
(a mere) 26 letters
punctuated by dots and whirls.

Solace of aloe
sharpness of thistle
hidden in these codes.

The unexpected
often more devastating
than the obvious.

Simple mix of letters.
Infinite possibilities.
Complex outcomes.

Absolute power
impacts absolutely.
Wield with care.

Scars are
(too often)
forever.

So true, Janet. We should remember the power of not only what is spoken, but what is not.

    • Words are such small things to have such power and we often take them so lightly. Thanks for reading and commenting, Jan. I always enjoy your visits.

  2. I love this one, Janet. So true!

    • Thanks, Lisa. Nice to see you on this lovely Thursday morning. I’m struck so often by the power of words, for good, bad or evil, yet they’re so often flung about unthinkingly.

      Have a glorious day!

  3. Your words could cut through bone… What beautifully haunting prose.
