Since WordPress in its infinite wisdom has decided once again not to publish the Weekly Photo Challenge even remotely on time and we’re getting to leave for a few weeks, I’ve decided to share something unexpected that we encountered on our walk last night. Granted, we were walking around a lake, but this isn’t the type of critter we’d expect to find there. (It was, needless to say, dead.) I suspect some other force was at work.
This, that and the other thing 
Oh my … that is one freaky crab???!!! Those claws are gigantic. The colors on them are a beautiful blue. It qualifies for freaky. 😃
How big was it?
8-9″, I’d guess.
Pretty big. I hope you didn’t step on him. He looked like he was already crabby.
He was dead so probably not in a good mood. 🙂

I contacted Ben and he said the holiday dethroned the challenge and promised the next. I must say an announcement would have stopped me looking at my phone like a freak. Happy trails, have some fresh crab and toast the artifact.
If they would have just announced that we wouldn’t have it, it would have been fine. Oh well, if that’s as bad as things ever get, we’re in good shape. 🙂
