Freaky Friday

Since WordPress in its infinite wisdom has decided once again not to publish the Weekly Photo Challenge even remotely on time and we’re getting to leave for a few weeks, I’ve decided to share something unexpected that we encountered on our walk last night.  Granted, we were walking around a lake, but this isn’t the type of critter we’d expect to find there. (It was, needless to say, dead.)  I suspect some other force was at work.

  1. Oh my … that is one freaky crab???!!! Those claws are gigantic. The colors on them are a beautiful blue. It qualifies for freaky. 😃

  2. Bumba says:

    How big was it?

  3. Are you sure you didn’t walk all the way to Maine? That thing reminds me of a lobster!

  4. Great subjects. 😀

  5. Not that freaky in a photo. Glad, I was not in your shoes. LOL
Also, looks like there is no weekly photo challenge today. Happy 4th to you Janet!

  6. M-R says:

A CRAYFISH ??? – good grief, Janet ! – how weird … Good entry under the title, no doubt about it !

  7. words4jp says:

    Definitely freaky:)

  8. […] not doing the biz today. Nope, emails are coming in.It is Friday, isnt it?  I check the site of a fellow blogger….. confirmed, there’s no Challenge yet. Triple […]

  9. That’s interesting. We see them the claws on the beach at the ocean. But at a lake? Wow. 🙂

I contacted Ben and he said the holiday dethroned the challenge and promised the next. I must say an announcement would have stopped me looking at my phone like a freak. Happy trails, have some fresh crab and toast the artifact.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
