For the Challenger’s Choice theme, choices include: Abstraction, Animals, Architecture, Food Photography, Night Photography, Objects, Portraiture, Still Life, Street Photography, and Travel. This week’s photos are a combination of street photography and travel, the first found in a street in the old part of Beaune, France, a lovely city filled with history. This baby isn’t nearly as old as most of the buildings, but it’s still a vintage car with attitude.
Or how about this cutie seen on the streets of Nuits St. George?
Love ’em both, Janet ! 🙂
Good, M.R. Always nice to see your smiling face when I check my blog.

Love the 2CV – I actually owned one from 1978 to 1981, this same colour. Great fun, especially the push/pull gear change.
🙂

Oh, Janet, your photographer’s heart must have soared when you saw that 2CV so magnificently posed against the shop corner – just waiting for you to capture it. Great shot!
Oh, it did, Tish, and soared for a good deal of the trip! 🙂 Happy Monday.

The 2CV was called ugly duck ( in Dutch: lekijk eendje). The bicycle is available in lots of shapes and designs nowadays in The Netherlands. In use as children’s transportation!
Thanks, Chris. Very interesting! Enjoy your Monday.

Will do! First airconditioned cars 2CV’s 🙂
But some country folk hate the new bicycles 🙂
Wonderful small gems of European culture. Happy Photo Challenge.
Glad you enjoyed them, Sally. Thanks for visiting.

Both fantastic photos. I am sure you put your camera to the test throughout the whole trip!
I had my phone out constantly. Before we left, we’d hit the sales at REI and I picked up a pair of pants that had the perfect pocket for my phone so I could get at it easily I think it’s about time to get my Nikon out and figure out how to use it, too. There are some depth-of-field issues with the phone that annoy me. But I can’t use camera photos here. 🙂

Totally loved the pictures
Great! I’m glad. That’s why I post them, so others can enjoy them.

Where did that S-car go?
🙂 Exactly. And Bill had snails for lunch that day in Beaune!
