Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think this post has been written FOR ME.
Sighh …
Now I must go and move my recliner chair down the hallway and some distance from the roadwork going on in the street outside – and maybe get that sleep. Or maybe not.
Of course it was written just for you, M.R. Are they not all? 🙂 Hope you get sleep! That noise of work can be so annoying.

Wise words and great shot, Janet.
Thanks, Cathy. Hope your day’s off to a great start (and stays that way!)

Emerson said it well, as if repeating in paraphrased what the bible says too. “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow brings its own worry…” I just take one day at a time and live with that concept that one cannot redo or revisit yesterday, for it is history, but for today do my best, and enjoy each day as it comes and work through the challenges it brings.
Lovely and wise quote. Gorgeous shot. And perfect timing. I also needed this shot of inspiration. Thank you, Janet! ~Theadora
To meet the needs of two people with a post is a blessing for me as well. My pleasure, T. Hope all’s well with you.
Great advice and beautiful photo.
Perfect sentiment and a wonderful photo Janet!
🙂 Glad you enjoyed both.
Thank you Janet and RWE !
You’re welcome…from both of us. 🙂
