In July, we spent several weeks in France.  While we were there, we checked off two life goals we’ve had:  attending a stage of the Tour de France and spending time on a barge with online friends.  Both were adventures, although of very different sorts.  Not sure which will appeal to you more, so I’m offering a photo of each.  Have a marvelous weekend filled with adventure!!

Come with us as we meet our friends and explore the river on their barge and going through a lock into the small canal on our way back.  No chance of getting seasick and lots of fun guaranteed!

Well done Janet. That reminds me of a June race in Quebec city. I stood there listening to the spectators ringing bells and racers wheezing and pushing up those hills and thought. “oh my gosh that sounds painful”. Hope your weekend is well on its way to being a lovely one. 😀

    • Bike racing has to be one of the most demanding sports, both physically and mentally/emotionally. But it’s wonderful to watch. As for the weekend, so far, so good. One of our daughter’s is home which makes it even more special. You have a good one, too.

Two different adventures but both so true. Once in my life I visited the Tour de France too. But it’s long ago, there are only some analogue photos (it was in the late 80s). But now I remember, Thank you.
    Have a great day.

I would love to rent a barge and tour the rivers of Europe. How wonderful!

    • We just spent part of a day with friends who own the barge, but it was great. We’ve thought of renting a barge, too. Don’t know if it will ever happen, but this was so much fun.
