These are oddball photos for varying reasons, but all are, I think, fun. The first is of the rather huge truck in front of our car (I wasn’t driving), during rush hour in Chicago, in a downpour and of course, endless traffic.
My half of a maple doughnut with bacon on it, a favorite of Bill’s but only bearable to me because the saltiness of the bacon ameliorates the overly-sweet doughnut and frosting.
Leftover candy from the Labor Day parade drying off in the church kitchen. Fortunately, the rain stopped just as we were ready to “march”, as we (the praise team) and the band wouldn’t have been able to participate and sing had it been raining. The electronics don’t take well to rain. As it was, we had a blast and the overcast sky and resulting temperatures were much nicer than sun and humidity
The donut photo – I must forward to my son. He would be salivating buckets!!

yes – just as I suspected – my son fell in love:)
I was pretty sure he would.
I adore the first shot. Oversized for sure. These are all great! Thanks Janet for playing.

Great oddball photos. I can appreciate the topping of bacon on the doughnut because I like the flavors of sweet and salty together (but it would be fake bacon for me, a vegetarian). 🙂
If it hadn’t had the bacon, real or fake, the whole thing would have been much too much, at least for me. As it was, it was fun for once, although half was plenty for me.
