Dogs are great companionship. We had a dog when I was a kid and it loved to sit next to my chair when I was eating (like every baby I also made a mess when food was around).
Oh, Janet, what a sweetheart! How long did the poor thing wait? I’m always worried that someone will adopt Smelly Dog when she waits for us. She makes big chocolate eyes at anyone who goes in the door.

As Inspector Clouseau famously said in one movie, “That’s not my dog.” I just saw him as I went into the library. But he’s definitely a cutie. Thanks, Grace.
oh .. that’s the reason why I love dogs so much! โค
๐ A cat would think, “Heck with you! If you’re not here when I want you, I’ll go do something else!”

This is such an endearing photo, and a lovely interpretation of the challenge! I like the snazzy scarf!
He looked at me when I took the photo but then went back to looking for his person. So glad you liked it.

Adorable! And beautiful, too! Great choice, Janet ๐
Thanks, Ese. I always appreciate you coming by.

I bet part of his love was for the mess, which he could help clean up. ๐
janet
For sure! She loved me and my mess!
Poor doggie. A lovely, endearing capture, Janet ๐
Glad you liked it, Paula. It was a nice day and he was waiting very patiently.

Nice dog. Endurance takes on another dimension when you have a short memory — but still endure.
๐
So patient, so devoted. I love this entry.
I’m glad, Renate. Appreciate you dropping by and commenting. Have a great weekend.

He wasn’t there when I came out, so probably not too long. Smelly Dog? ๐
janet
Smelly dog is Cajou, my golden retriever.
Aww.. so sweet!
He was a cutie.

I love it!
I’m glad.

Janet, this just makes me smile. Yes, enduring the loooong wait. So perfect for this week’s challenge.
Glad you enjoyed it, Barbara.

What a wonderful wonderful choice — much better than cliff dwellings (LOL). I love the enduring bond between dogs and humans. ๐
Just different, Becca. I do love cliff dwellings, though.

Awwww, how sweet is that?!?!? Love this one Janet!
Tina, he was such a cutie and waiting so patiently, not even moving other than to turn to look at me when I came near.
How cute lovely, Janet, and equally good is the story behind it. So nice. Thanks ๐
Thanks for stopping by and for commenting. I’m glad you enjoyed the photo.

You are most welcome, Janet ๐
Your dog is much more patient than mine would ever be! Such a cute picture!

This is definitely one of the reasons a dog is a man’s (or woman’s for that matter) best friend. Loved this interpretation of the challenge ๐
Thanks, Gale. I appreciate your visit and comment.

What a forlorn-looking dog! Patience incarnate…
Hopefully he didn’t have to wait too long.
