Dogs are great companionship. We had a dog when I was a kid and it loved to sit next to my chair when I was eating (like every baby I also made a mess when food was around).
I bet part of his love was for the mess, which he could help clean up. 🙂

Oh, Janet, what a sweetheart! How long did the poor thing wait? I’m always worried that someone will adopt Smelly Dog when she waits for us. She makes big chocolate eyes at anyone who goes in the door.
