The WordPress trick for Halloween appears to be the lack of a weekly photo challenge theme at the normal time and since we plan to leave soon for our weekend trip to Philadelphia for our younger daughter’s birthday, I’m running out of time as well as patience.  Instead, here’s a haiku inspired by the leaves that still cling to their branches, despite the battering, tearing winds.  They may serve as an inspiration for those days when we are similarly buffeted, although not by physical wind.

Great photo and haiku, Janet. Thanks, I came to the Reader to see if I just hadn’t gotten my email for the WPC.

    • I thought they’d gotten over that. I don’t have time to hang around today to wait for them, hence the haiku. Glad you enjoyed them and enjoy your weekend, too.

I wonder if it’s because the clocks in the UK have changed so its still 20 minutes left until we get it according to my calcumalations 🙂

I’ve always imagined the links from the States, so I was expecting it at 4.00pm.

  4. Great work, Janet. Who needs a photo challenge when we have this much talent in our midst?

  5. Great photo and haiku. The prompt is descent – well leaves will eventually descend to the ground. 😀
