Photography 101: The Natural World

As the polar vortex grabs us, my thoughts go back to lovely (warmer) mornings in the park at dawn.  Walking at this time is good for my soul as well as for photography.  When the sun is starting to peek over the tops of the trees, it’s a special moment, filled with light and delicate color.

For Photography 101: The Natural World, Cheri challenges us to:

Capture the natural world with your camera: document a moment outside, big or small. From a panorama snapped during your morning forest hike to a close-up of a leaf on the sidewalk, we invite you to document this wondrous world around us.

I can’t link to the Commons, which is where we’re supposed to share our photos, so I’ll just shoot them into the blogosphere and see what happens. Perhaps I’ll be able to link later.  If so, I will.

  1. Stunning shots Janet. 😀

    • Good morning, Raewyn, and thanks very much! Yesterday for the first time i months, I walked without taking any photos. It was cloudy and I was trying to get done before any rain/snow arrived, which I managed to do. Today is very cold, but may be more picturesque.

  6. Gorgeous fall photos, I love the light that you captured.

    • Charlie, that morning (and one other) were days filled with special light. I was fortunate to be out early and get the shots. The iPhone does rather well, doesn’t it?
