    • Thanks, Cathy. It was even colder this morning with a few beautiful flakes of snow. My eyes water a lot when it’s cold and windy. I maintain I’m just overcome by the beauty. 🙂

  1. Stunning shot and quote. 😀

  2. Sums it up beautifully, both the photo and the poem.

  3. Ssssooo .. descriptive. Very nice …!!!! ~~~ : – )

Ah! Long winter walks! Grand! I love to gaze up and see those “bare branches pierce the sky,” on those delightfully dingy grey days. Fabulous entry. Wonderful poem and photo. Cheers,

    • Jade, the mornings this week have been like this–cold and grey. One day the sky cleared just after I finished, but I enjoy those walks anyway. It starts me off in the right place and I plan to keep walking throughout the winter as much as possible. Thanks for the visit and comment and enjoy your weekend.

Ahoy Janet. Yes, I avidly enjoy such walks as well. They are invigorating and inspiring. They stir me olde and craggy Irish soul. 😉 Hugs. Happy walking to you and have a gorgeous, silvery-grey wintry weekend indeed. Cheers,

  5. Okay, so I read this thinking you’d found a pretty poem on a gorgeous photo… and then I saw your name. You’ve created art, dear Janet, in word and in image! Truly lovely!

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
