Although I didn’t get registered for it and therefore am not properly a member of WordPress’s Photography 101 class, I have a contribution for the subject today, “Glass.” I took this photo in Basel, Switzerland this summer the day before we flew home from our vacation. I love the detail of the frame.
It is a stunning window Janet!!
Glad I’m not the only one who thought so. 🙂
The detail you captured in your photo is very eye catching and engaging…Love it.
Thanks, Charlie. I hope your week’s going well and have a happy Thanksgiving.

Easy to see why you’re proud of it !!!
Thanks for dropping by, M.R. It’s always good to see a comment from you in the morning.

I agree! Lovely frame, Janet 🙂
And ready-made, too!
Hi Janet:
I love windows! I do have a collection of windows among my travel pictures. Once I had some interesting discussion about two windows…please read on if you are interested.

Your window featured here is quite special. Is that a church or an education institution? the pattern does not suggest any religious meaning. I may be wrong. Do you have more information about this window? Forgive my curiosity and ignorance. Is this art nouveau or art decor? Some more windows on my other blog:

Thank you for visiting my blog. Now I found yours! Wonderful!

Nice to meet you, Denise. The window was in a museum in Basel, but unfortunately, I didn’t write down the name. I’ll see whether I can find out where it is and let you know. It might have been in a former church, though.

Thanks. I am half right then! A museum is an education institution, my favorite. If it was formerly a church, if I know the name of the church, l would be interested to find out the architectural style.
