This photo of a plate made by our younger daughter (the now-art student) when she was quite young. As an oddball photo needn’t be odd, just one that can’t be easily classified, this definitely qualifies. I cherish this plate and several others made by her and her older sister, made with and kept with love.
Also, happy birthday to my husband today! Much love there as well.
Thanks for sharing.
Please send Bill my best wishes for a happy birthday – hope the two of you enjoy celebrating the day together.

Thanks very much, Randy, I’ll tell him. We celebrated yesterday by driving about an hour away to The Chicken Shack in Evanston lunch. Bill read that they were one of the ten or so top-ranked places in the country for friend chicken. The chicken was amazing! The place was a bit short on space and atmosphere, but we greatly enjoyed it. Then we had tea at my new place of employment and when we came home, watched a number of episodes of “The Closer.” Good day except that Bill then had to work almost all night. 😦 Today will be church and relaxation!

Great choice! (We have some similar plates made at school for Christmas presents…my favorite was the Christmas Bat…well, the school had to make them right before Halloween in order to get them back in time.)
Our home school group did these and they’re great mementos all these years later. When our younger daughter becomes a famous artist, hers will be worth thousands…right? 🙂

But you’ll never sell – much too valuable! Plates by kids always make me smile
True…to both comments.
adorable. I love looking back on my kid’s old art projects. I even have an old plate of mine that I made when I was around 6.
Then you know whereof I speak. 🙂 Fun stuff. Thanks for stopping by and adding your memories.
