For Christmas, I was given an Olloclip and although I don’t have it down yet, I’m pleased with this result taken outside my parents’ home in Arizona earlier this year. This week we’re supposed to experience temperatures that contain two digits, not one, and none with a minus in front of it. That’s progress and since it’s light longer now, I’m feeling spring!

The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring.

spectacular shot Really awesome … luv da colorZ also 😎
Thanks. The color is lovely from a normal distance, but up close is really something. I’m glad you liked it!

The quotes are great. Love the photo.
Thanks, Patty. One of my favorite things about the internet is how easy it makes finding appropriate quotes!
janet
Yes, it does.
Great macro! is that a hydrangea?
No, it’s a bougainvillea, but lovely no matter the name. Happy Monday!
janet
Absolutely gorgeous, Janet!
Good morning and have a lovely week.
Lucile
Many thanks, Lucile. I hope you have a wonderful week, too. I’m looking forward to the relatively warm weather we’re expecting…almost 50 F today.
janet
Thank you, Janet. That’s good news about the weather.
Since yesterday we are enjoying 54 F but it drops to 33 F in the evening. So not really spring weather yet.
Lucile
I think that is spring weather, Lucile, that in-between temperature that’s warm in comparison to what’s come before, but not yet warm enough for summer.
Let’s hope it keeps like that. Here is no certainty. We can go back in a few days to much colder temps.
Here, too, but I’ll enjoy every spring day we get. 🙂
Beautiful shot. Randy
Good morning, Randy. I’m pleased you like it!

Dear Janet,
Beautiful colors. Spring can’t come fast enough.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Very true, Rochelle. Supposed to be 50 here today and at least mid-40’s or higher this week. I’m very much looking forward to that!!
janet
Love the colour !!
I’m glad!

We both have Spring in our thoughts. This week the temps are rising to the 50s–it’s a joyful change. Rilke is a favorite of mine, and all your poems give a boost to the bliss of Spring. Your image is filled with hope. A perfect post for today. Happy Photo Challenge.
I have Spring in my step as well as in my heart. 🙂 It will be warm here as well, something I can’t wait to experience. I’m glad you enjoyed the poems and the photo and enjoy your week as well.

So pretty, Janet! Enjoy your warmer temps. 😊
Thanks, Lisa. I’m really looking forward to the warmth and that extra bit of light each day makes just as much difference.

Great shot, Janet! Looks to me like you’re getting the Olloclip down!
I think I need to get a tripod, because it’s sometimes impossible to hold the camera steady enough to get a sharp shot that close. But so far it’s going pretty well. Have a great week!
janet
A tripod helps with macro for sure. I use a Glif to hold the iPhone and a Gorilla tripod.
I’ll check those out, Cathy. Thanks!
Wow – I read the heading and thought I’m going to ask her about that lens and then this was the subject of the post. So, it sounds like you enjoy it, it takes a great photo, and my last question is did you have to get rid of your phone cover in order to use it?
Yes, the case has to come off. My package (from Amazon) came with a cover of sorts onto which the clip fits. But I just take my cover off and use it that way. I saw Olloclip recommended by others online so I thought I’d give it a try. As I mentioned in another comment (or two), a tripod would help to get perfect focus when that close.
janet
This is so pretty!
Thanks very much, Mira. I’ll be happy to see colors here in the Midwest, hopefully soon.
janet
Very, very nice. It should win a prize of some kind.
It won a prize comment from you, Sandra, and thanks for that. Hope your week’s off to a great start and is filled with many blessings!
janet
indeed! pretty in pink, love it!
Thanks, I’m glad.

I’ve rarely seen such a soft-looking flower. The macro makes it look larger than life, so I’d like to imagine I could curl up on top of it and take a nap.
Stunning photo. I just love the colours – so vibrant.
I’m happy so many people are enjoying it, Raewyn. It seemed to perfectly encapsulate spring.
janet
Beautiful image and quotes, Janet. 🙂
Thanks very much. Makes me happy that you enjoyed them.
That pink is glorious! Isn’t it amazing how spring comes, and the grass grows by itself? Every year!
God does good work, Angeline. 🙂 The subject of this photo is in bloom in Arizona in January, while we’re all in whites and greys, so it was especially appreciated.
janet
Gorgeous macro image, Janet!
Good morning and thanks very much, Amy. Enjoy your day!
The flower is very sweet. I like the vibrant pink on the petals. Great photo …!!! I enjoyed the quote too, Janet. The quote by Lao Tzu is one of my favorites. ☺️
