While waiting for my husband in the theater lobby recently, I snapped a few shots of the carpeting, ginned this one up with a bit of editing, and offer it for Challenger’s Choice. Quite simply, I love the colors and the shapes and I hope you do, too.
Have a week filled with photos and, hopefully, good weather.
That looks so good. I would have never known that it was a grungy carpet at a movie theater.
Patty, although it wasn’t originally this bright, it didn’t seem grungy, which is always nice. But it did have an eye-catching and cheerful look, which is unusual.

Well done. This is by far the most colorful carpet that I have seen in quite a while. Who’d a thunk? Ω
Allan, I did play with the color somewhat in the editing, but the basic shapes and colors were there, attracting my attention.

That’s all it takes… Ω
Theater design is wayyyyy far out, man.
Isn’t it just!

hypnotic and cool. have a lovely week!
Glad you liked it, too, Dorothee. Have a wonderful week, too. Ours is starting with a bit of soggy snow. I’m ready for that to end!
janet
Looks like some sort of spacey type picture. Cool!
I agree, Steve. I’m not normally interested in theater carpeting, but this, even unedited, caught my eye. Someone did a nice design job.

I like your artsy touch – and carpet? never would have guessed – yet now I seem to recall this kind of carpet (or the unedited pattern) at a movie theatre near us – 🙂
I also found myself looking for the body of a jelly fish
Me, too.
The colors and shapes make me happy. 🙂

🙂
It’s a joyous image that evokes adventure and energy. This image is your reward for being attentive to your surroundings. Happy Photo Challenge.
Good morning, Sally. It really is joyful and so pleasing, at least to my eyes. Outside this morning it’s not so pleasing–snow. We may get more than a coupe of inches, although I hope not. I’m really ready to be done with snow for this year, even though I generally enjoy it. I know you got some a few days ago, too, which I’m sure you’d rather not have gotten.
Have a great week!

Yes, I’m done with winter and sent her on her way. We have all the signs of Spring, and that makes me deliciously happy. Enjoy the week.
That’s a carpet? 😮 Whoa! That is an awesome picture 🙂
It is although, as I mentioned, I did play with the color a bit during the editing. But the basic colors and shapes were already there, attracting my eyes. Thanks for the visit and comment.

What a creative choice, Janet. 😊 Great colors!
Good morning, Lisa, and thanks. I felt the same way about the colors, even when not enhanced. Great designer and maybe those white spots helps disguise dropped popcorn. 🙂
I love the colors and shapes, Janet. Well done!
I would never have known it was carpeting, if you hadn’t said so. I love the colours and patterns. A really cool shot.
Thanks for showing my blog some love. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Nadine. I’m glad you like the shot and I look forward to seeing you around every week.

Love this creative edits! Incredible!
You just made my morning brighter, Amy. Thanks. And since we’re getting snow when it should be spring, it’s even more appreciated. 🙂

I love the colors and design. I’m thinking streamers in a glass of champagne for some reason.
I think it’s a toss-up between your ideas and the tropical underwater scenario. Or maybe a space theme.
janet
Vibrant and jazzy!
That’s what I thought, Jane. Glad you did, too.

Great work Janet. Love the colours
I love it!!! I too have a soft spot for carpet patterns never thought of capturing them. I’m inspired thanks ,, 🙂
My pleasure, Carol. I thought this was a particularly attractive one, especially to find in a theater.
janet
There is a rug with a design that looks like faces must photograph it.
You should not have spilled the beans that it was carpet, Janet. I thought it was some kind of cool absract artwork, ( and actually it is!) – It was something I would love to see on my wall in a frame, in the right room. Although I am not so sure, if it is a carpet design already!!! LOL!! Great stuff for this week’s challenge! The colours and sense of movement are really attractive!
I doubt the carpet makers would recognize it on your wall. I was thinking I’d love it on the wall as well, the photo, that is, not the carpet. 🙂
janet
Yes, you should put it on your wall!!!
