Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge: Macro…finding the unexpected

Although I enjoy all the Mobile Photography themes, I think “Macro” is probably my favorite. I love getting close and personal with my photography, especially with nature. Often, when getting in close, I find some bit of unexpected beauty in my photo. Come to think of it, it’s often the same with people. When you get to know them better, there’s almost always something that’s a beautiful surprise.

In this shot, the surprises were the drops on the leaves as well as the tiny purple reflection in the larger drop to the right of the flower. Take a look around you today in macro mode and see what beauty you can see–in both people and nature.

(Still mostly out of internet contact, so apologies for late replies and reciprocal views.)

There is so much beauty in Nature’s tiny details – lovely image 🙂

  2. Good morning—your capture is indeed the reason that macro can bring such joy and surprises. That single droplet is a gem. Happy Photo Challenge.

    • A happy and blessed good morning to you, Sally. Thanks for hostessing the challenge and sharing your thoughts with us each week. I’m happy you enjoyed my photo. I’m off to link with your post before we hit the road for the last day of my husband’s and friend’s bike ride. Have a wonderful week!

Great macro, and the water drops and reflection just finish the photo perfectly.

Wow, so many amazing details in this macro!

    • All done with the lovely iPhone, Trisha. It’s perfect for taking on walks, although I realized this morning that I also need mosquito repellant so I can take the time to take a good photo without getting swarmed and eaten alive!!
