Pulled from the headlines:
Mitch McConnell: Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Accuses Majority Leader of Lying on Senate Floor Friday
Why lie on the Senate (or any other) floor? Doesn’t he have a home to go to where he can lie down? Floors in public places tend to be rather dirty, so I refuse to lie on any of them.
Sometimes that’s just how my mind works. May you see many sillys this Saturday and enjoy every one of them.
(And please, no serious political comments!)
Headlnes often leave plenty of room for ‘other’ interpretations – nice one 🙂
They do and it’s so much fun to find the ones that do. Have a wonderful weekend.

I’m glad I’m not the only one whose mind works like this!
Me, too. 🙂

That was actually my first thought when I read that headline on Facebook. I had to do a double take to figure out their meaning. But you really never know what’s going to make the “news” these days, so one does need to read carefully.
And people need to be careful how they say whatever they’re trying to say. So easy to say/write something that the listener/reader takes wrong and the results aren’t always as humorous as this one.

LOL! My mind works like that too! Sometimes it takes me a minute to figure out what is really meant.
I knew what they really meant, but this is more fun, don’t you think?
janet
Definitely!
