After a good run of on-time posting of themes for the Weekly Photo Challenge, WordPress has once again left me sitting in my chair, laptop on lap, waiting…and waiting…and waiting. After almost half an hour, life is calling me, so here’s a photo that depicts how I feel waiting for the challenge, something I think should be easy to schedule in advance to go live at noon EST.

What a terrific photo, Janet. Now I have a question. Is the object on the right another frog or just a rock that looks like it has frog eyes on the front of it? I can’t tell for sure, but I HAVE to know.
Just a rock as far as I could tell. Every time I come to the river now, I creep up as slowly as possible to see whether I can find another one of these guys peeking out at me. 🙂

It really was just a rock, Sandra, unless that frog was a master of disguise!
Well, if you look closely, the front end of that rock looks like it has a big frog eye looking right at the frog looking at it.
Of course, I have to confess that every time I go to the bathroom and sit on the commode, I look down at the vinyl flooring that has all kinds of twists and turns in it, and I can always see animals in it.
Guess maybe that’s why I’m a writer, huh?
It does look like that, Sandra. I tend to be the same way with seeing things. But this time, it’s all in your mind and imagination. 🙂

They don’t post on certain holidays as well.
From everything I’ve read, they’ve decided to post every Friday, probably because we all get so cheesed off if they don’t. But if they don’t want to post, a note the week before would be good manners and then none of us would be waiting and annoyed.
Yeah I would love some kind of notice. Anyway, I happened to notice that it’s Native American’s day in California today. Where is WordPress headquarters?

Sonya, I understand that it’s different if the post comes when you’re sleeping. For those of us in time zones that are daytime (Europe, US, etc.), I think we get used to the time and plan to be around to post if possible and it throws us off a bit. 🙂 Not the worst thing in the world, that’s for sure.
