They are fun to watch, Dan. This one was in the woods while I was walking. They’re amazing acrobatic. We had a bird feeder years ago and finally had to get a baffle as they were so adept at getting around whatever I put up to try to stop them from eating all the bird seed. Even then, every so often, one would try going up the pole, just in case things had changed. 🙂
Great shot! I’m just never quick enough to capture squirrels or any other forms of wildlife in their natural habitats. And certainly not in such great detail- The clarity on this one is breathtaking.
Hannah, I was walking in the woods and saw this cutie. Since I had my telephoto, I didn’t have to get to close and then I could crop and enlarge. 🙂 Glad you liked it and I hope you’re enjoying your weekend.
I think he was waiting to see whether I was going to come any closer! 🙂 BTW, I’m happy to be a beta reader. Just forgot to get back to you. Let me know more.

Nice shot. I like shooting squirrels, but they are so fast and sensitive to photographers.
Takes patience.

Having a telephoto helps, Randy, which is how I got this one. Being able to crop and enlarge helps a lot, too. Don’t have to get too close.

Glad you enjoyed the post. Squirrels have voracious appetites, so I’m sure they’re happy about the peanuts!
