I don’t know who said either of these. But that doesn’t negate the truth of them. Sometimes life seems overwhelming. Sometimes life IS overwhelming. Each of these thoughts helps brings things into focus and allows us to move on, not just at survival level, but at a productive level.
Start somewhere. Start small. Start where you feel comfortable. But just start. Everyone around you can use some sort of help and it doesn’t have to have a monetary cost. Make a meal, buy someone a drink, read to a child or an older person, volunteer. Look around. You’ll know where to start.

This is similar to “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, but more upbeat. Paradise is a big word, so live large.

Now for my three nominees for today:
Amanda at Forestwoodfolkart,
Jane at View from a French Hillside, and
John at Journeys with Johnbo.
If any of you would like to participate, just post a quote a day for three days and each day, nominate three other bloggers. Or just participate without nominating anyone if that’s better for you.
True words, Janet!! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
I hope you saw that I nominated you. Only if you’re interested, of course. 😉

Sorry I did not see! Will try to do it! 🙂
I like to remember that we can always start small, even for large endeavors.
You’re right, Dan. The more manageable and the less overwhelming, the more likely each of us is to continue, I think.

Thanks for that reminder.
“Start somewhere. Just start.” This is such a powerful sentiment; and one I’m trying to live by. Thanks for taking part and for sharing these words of wisdom Janet.
My pleasure entirely, Su. I was happily surprised to see that you and Leanne both nominated me. Made my day.

Love your thoughts and images, something special I can carry with me through the day.
And I love that you love them, Charlie.
