Sally D’s Mobile Photography Challenge: Black and white…Philadelphia architecture

Details, details, details. Architecture is full of them and black and white highlights those details beautifully.  One of the downsides of being a photographer, at least for those walking with me, is that I’m constantly stopping to take photos.  When I can’t, I always regret the photos I had to leave untaken.  Ah, well, it gives me something to look forward to on the next trip. In the meantime,  I hope you enjoy these two.

Both of these are good but it was the second one that really grabbed my attention.

    Great choices for B&W.

  3. Good choices for conversion–each is stripped of colors and gives us a chance to focus on the details that make each image unique. Happy Photo Challenge.

Great photos, Janet. The first, while appearing a simple photo of a window, is in fact loaded with visual stimulation; the textures are amazing and so much to look at. Your second photo is an eye grabber! Great perspective!
I always warn people I go out with that I will stop for pictures…no apologies 🙂

    • Angeline, the second is what I saw while whiling away time at the train station, waiting for the train to the airport. Free time is photo time, right? And that window was, as you say, just full of interesting textures and things. So much fun!!

  5. I know the feeling. I get frustrated when I can’t take photos. Great photos

    • It probably makes me an annoying companion sometimes, stopping all the time to take photos. I guess the ones we miss, like the fish that got away, are always the best ones. 🙂

  6. It was pretty fun scrolling down the page to look at these. Had to do it a few times just because!

These are great Janet. I love the sense of neglect and almost sadness of the first.
