“Trio” is the theme for this week’s photo challenge. While winter is approaching with a cold front that promises snow, I’m harking back to warmer, more colorful times with this shot of a trio of water lilies.
Happy Thanksgiving to all those celebrating next week. Whether or not November 26th is Thanksgiving for you, I urge you to take time to count your blessings anyway. I think you’ll be surprised how many there are.
Here’s the link to the song. If you enjoy it, consider buying the CD. It’s well worth it. I get nothing if you do except the knowledge that you’ll certainly enjoy it. I’m not sure if posting this violates copyright laws. If you know that it does, please let me know and I’ll remove it.
I love water lilies, Janet. Wrap up warm, it’s going to be a cold one.
It is, Sandra. There could be 4-8″ of snow by tomorrow night…or maybe it will be all rain or not happen at all. It’s been such a mild November that I’m not going to complain.
Beautiful Janet
Thanks, Raewyn. I wasn’t sure what to post at first but scrolling through this batch of photos, I found these beauties. Thank goodness. 🙂
A colorful promise that spring will be coming back, Janet. Have a warm weekend.
And nice music!
Happy Friday, Marion, and a good weekend to you as well. I’m glad you enjoyed both photo and music.
Lovely water lilies. Priscilla has a beautiful voice. Enjoyed your post.
I’m glad, Olga. Thanks for taking the time to comment and let me know.

A beautiful image…I have a soft spot for water lilies 🙂
They are beautiful, aren’t they? I don’t see as many of them as I’d like, but then I guess that makes the ones I do see more special.

Water lillies are beautiful and they can’t help but make you feel relaxed.
Maybe it’s the sensation of floating, Irene. 🙂

And I am a piscean. 🙂
I am, too, although I don’t believe in astrology.
I agree. Unless I’m in a doctor’s surgery I would never see astrology but I am very drawn to water.
Like the song too. A voice and style like Judy Collins.
You’re right, Tom. I remember Judy well from my high school and college days. Quite a singer.
The first hard frost for Vancouver, WA (USA) is predicted for tonight — it’s warm fire season! Yet, we are fortunate to dream of summer ponds and give thanks for our bounty.
Lindy, we’ve had at least one hard frost already and it’s begun snowing, although the streets are still too warm for it to stick. I love snow, though, so I’m excited.

Perfect for challenge. Well balanced composition and music. Happy Friday.
Thanks you, Carol. I’m happy you enjoyed both. Have a great weekend.

Thanks, Aletta. 🙂

Best wishes with the snow a coming – we might not get snow – but had frost this morning!! Anyhow – love your trio of flowers – such beautiful lily pads too-
The snow has arrived and it’s gorgeous! It’s right on the snow side of snow-or-rain, so it’s a bit heavy and clumpy this morning at least. We’ll see if we get the 4-8″ promised. Either way, glad you liked the lilies.

And sending u some warm tea ☕️☕️☕️ and saw in the news – heard there was 66 accidents in 3 hours and saw pics – anyhow reading your reply reminded me of the beauty and enjoyment that also comes with snow – ahhhh
I always love tea, so thanks for that. I haven’t had the news on at all, but there are always accidents when it snows, as people too often drive as though the roads were clear, especially those in SUV’s and trucks.
Yes – sadly folks learn the hard way sometimes – and glad u liked the virtual tea – have a nice weekend
You, too.
Water Lilies are so beautiful. The color of these three is very delicate.
Nice photo … !!!!
Thanks very much, Izzy.

If I had a place for these beauties, I’d be real thankful. 🙂
I would, too, Judy. But you do have a beautiful garden and that’s a blessing, albeit a blessing you’ve worked hard to get and keep

Happy Thanksgiving Janet! Beautiful lilies bd yes we have so incredibly much to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well, Nicole.
