It’s been a long week, not necessarily bad, but long and I’m fighting a sore throat and runny nose. Consequently, my brain feels just the slightest bit fuzzy and I don’t have the urge to do a long post. I do have the desire to share some of the beauty of winter, a season I quite enjoy. Here’s a photo from a walk last year; except for cropping, it’s not been retouched. I hope you enjoy it and it brightens your Saturday.

These crystals are beautiful!! 🙂
I love to be out on the days there’s frost. The beauty is overwhelming!

This is a magical image Janet. Hope you feel better very soon. All the best, Su
Your ornament photos yesterday looked so much the same that I smiled when I saw them.

Thanks Janet. I have to be content with my plastic tree ornaments, while you have nature decorating your trees. But then again, I’m contemplating a walk on the beach before breakfast. Hope you’re having a great weekend. Su.
The beach sounds lovely, too, Su. 🙂 For everything there is a season. It’s just that the seasons are reversed where we two are.

True. And I think it’s a sign of the growing cultural confidence in the Antipodes that we are making our own Christmas traditions that acknowledge that it’s summer. So much of the iconography of Christmas is winter-based and even things like traditional (European) Christmas food doesn’t work in our hot humid conditions. I love Christmas “with all the trimmings” but we either have to do it mid-winter, or plan to be in Europe for Xmas. Cheers, Su.
Just beautiful!
Sights like this make walking in winter such a joy.

Me too 🙂
I like this a lot, Janet. The brown and beige tones give a subtle accent to the white crystals. I can feel the warmth of the sun on a cold morning in this image.

The combination of light and crystals works beautifully…until the sun gets just a little to warm and then the ice melts.

I always love the magic of Mother Nature. 🙂
Me, too, Judy. The vast majority of my photos are of nature. Have a wonderful weekend.

I hope you feel better soon. The image is beautiful.
Thanks on both counts, Dan. Have a great weekend.

Beautiful, Janet! Thanks for sharing, and I hope you feel better!
Good morning, Jan. I’m happy you like the photo and thanks for the good wishes. I hope I can shake this soon. It’s not enough that I’m full-blown sick and have to just rest, but enough to be annoying and tiring.

Love the snowflakes, Janet! Winter Beauty indeed!
Cathy, they’re actually little ice crystals, although they do look like snowflakes. Beautiful no matter what they are. 🙂

I enjoyed the almost abstract quality of your capture. Hope that you have a quick recuperation. Tea and honey, honey and tea…
I like to use hot water, lemon, and honey, Sally. Same idea. Glad you liked the photo and I hope you’re having a great weekend.

What a beautiful picture! Winter is definitely one of my favorite seasons too when it comes to natural beauty 🙂
I love that there’s so much beauty but it often goes unnoticed by many people. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Enjoy the weekend.

Take care of yourself Janet and I just love the crystals in this image.
Thanks to both, Raewyn. 🙂

I know the feeling Janet! My throat is on fire. That time of year. I hate having to slow down but my body is reminding me it is a good idea. Hope you are feeling better!
I need to get a bit more sleep, but I am feeling better. Thanks.

That’s good!
