Thursday doors…small but stately

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!  2015 is on the way out and all who participate in Norm’s Thursday Doors have at least one special door to lead you out.  Don’t miss any of them!  Click on the link (live when I get up) and join the fun, either as a participant or just an appreciator of doors.

This door was not far from us when we lived in an eastern suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.  The extensive grounds had been an estate, but in 2003, it became an upscale outdoor mall.  There were some buildings left from its private glory days, including this small, but lovely one, as well as an extensive stone wall of the sort made without mortar.

The shadows add a lot of depth to this image and the colors give it a natural ‘vintage’ feel.
    Happy New Year, Janet.

Now that is a welcoming front door. It has more than a touch of the gingerbread about it and is just crying out to be dressed in Christmas evergreens. And roses in Summer! 🙂 Xx
