Welcome to 2016, a new year for all of us! In Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square, Anthropologie runs a store that, incredibly, used to be someone’s home. Can you imagine having this circle of stained glass in the roof of your home? I haven’t bought anything there, but we often go just to wallow in the beauty of the space itself and the decorating is gorgeous as well.
May your 2016 be filled with blessings and beauty!
What a gorgeous ceiling, Janet. I like the way it darkens toward the edges.
A great start to the new year!

Allan, I love stained glass and this is a beauty. I could move into this space in a minute. It’s stunning.

People in glass houses…?
Ω
🙂 You’d have to throw pretty high here!
Allan, just wanted to say thanks for all your feedback and comments. You’re one of my top commenters and as I value feedback and conversation, I very much appreciate the time you take for both. Cheers!
janet
Thank you, Janet. I learn quite a bit from our conversations and look forward to continuing them in the future.

Amazing!!! A perfect way to start the year – with color. Have a very Happy start, Janet.
Thanks. You, too.
Before looking closely and reading your post, I thought the stained glass would be in a church. But in someone’s home? That is awesome.
It was a home and on Rittenhouse Square, it must have cost a fortune! It’s now a store and still incredible.

Astounding image , great way to start the Happy New Year!
Carol
Thanks so much, Carol. Have a blessed 2016.

Happy New Year, Janet. Hope yours was a nice one.
We had a campfire and a few of our kids and their girl/boy friends over. Very nice.
Enjoyed the stained glass shot. We have a few stained glass window frame pieces hanging from the tops and inside of our windows around our home as a decorative window treatments.
Wishing a good year ahead, Randy.
It was a quiet, but good one and today we’re having a bowl game blowout! All the best to you and yours as well, Randy. One of these days, we’ll meet in person.
Absolutely stunning! We don’t have an Anthropologie anywhere near – a mixed blessing!
We have a small one in downtown Naperville and I know there’s at least one in Chicago, but I do all my clothes shopping at thrift stores, so… 🙂
janet
Beautiful. The artwork in that…
I know. Can you imagine this as part of your home???
janet
Oh! Haven’t you got one of these…. ?
We broke it. 🙂

Amazing. I would have spent all day on a divan just looking up at it. A happy New Year to you and your family too.
To you, too.

I know what you mean, Raewyn, and the rest of the space was just as beautiful. Thanks for being one of my top commenters. I so appreciate your support and feedback.
janet
Have a good 2016 full of wonderful moments you can share with us via your can 😊
Don’t worry! I wish my s-i-l lived closer to you so we could meet next time I’m in France. Have a great 2016, too.
janet
I am a huge stained glass fan, love the piece you showcased in your post.
Thanks, Charlie, and happy 2016.
janet
🙂 I wouldn’t mind this kind of circle somewhere in my house 😉
HAPPY New Year, dear Janet! 🙂
And the same to you! I love stained glass, even made a very small piece once, but this would dwarf our rental house! 🙂
No…I can’t imagine it in my house, but wish it was. Beautiful, Janet!
Thanks, Chuck, and many blessings to you and yours in 2016.
And to you and yours, as well.
beautiful, Janet!
Glad you like it, Ann Christine. 🙂 Hope 2016 is off to a great start for you.
– and for you too!
Beautiful picture.
Glad you like it, Phyllis. It’s an amazing space, especially when it was a home!! Happy New Year to you and yours.
janet
Great New Years to you to.
Phyllis
Oh, I love stained glass. Great shot and choice for the challenge.
Thanks. Hope your 2016 is off to a great start. Can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with this year.
janet
This would be a cool place to go. The beautiful ceiling looks more like a church or museum than a home or shop! 🙂
I agree. The first time I saw it, I was dumbfounded by the accessible beauty of it.
janet
Beautiful!
Thank you and thanks for the visit and comment.

[…] Weekly Photo Challenge: Circle…Stained beauty […]
I don’t think I’d get a lot done there and I’d have a permanent pain in my neck from staring up at it. Beautiful. 🙂
I know, Judy. I’ve visited the store several times because I’m gobsmacked by the overall beauty. The space is a feast for the senses and imagining it as my home is beyond my brain’s capabilities.
janet
This is extraordinary! Beautiful 🙂
It’s a find I keep revisiting when I’m in Philly.
janet
Unbelievably gorgeous, Janet! Cheers to a new year filled with beauty to you!
Happy New Year Janet! Wishing you the best for 2016!
Same to you, Nicole. A new year with many new adventures.
