Too funny because as I look out the window right now I can see one leaf hanging off a huge Oak branch. It has survived snow, ice and wind so far. Tomorrow we have 50 mph winds and I wonder if it will survive. Good entry. 🙂
Thanks, Allan. The thing I really like about it is that the sepia is natural. Although I added (obviously) the frame and vignette, I didn’t alter the original color of the shot. Glad you like it.
John, thanks so much for visiting and commenting. I’m glad you liked the photo, my second entry this week. The leaves’ tenacity continually astounds me.
unique and beautiful shot
One of a million reasons I love to walk in nature. 🙂

Excellent response to the challenge.
Good morning and thanks, Dan. I was scrolling through my photo files, saw this, and just had to post it as my second entry. Happy Saturday.

Judy, I’m continually amazed at how many leaves will hang on, through all sorts of high winds and bad weather, until spring. Tough little critters!

Stunning shot!
Thanks, Aletta.

One puff from an angel and it’s gone. This is a great photo for the challenge and the sepia tone makes it timeless as well.

Sometimes things just naturally go together. Life imitates Art?

Well done, love the image you chose for this challenge.
Good morning, Charlie. I’m pleased you like it. A most happy Saturday to you.

What a cool shot! Dangling by a thread.
How it stayed there that long, I have no idea! But an amazing number of leaves survive for a very long time.

Wonderful subject, and sublime composition Janet!
Thanks very much! I’m continually impressed by the tenacity of clinging leaves.

Marvelous shot for this challenge, Janet. Did you hear my ‘Wow!’?
I wondered what that sound was! 🙂 Thanks.

Delicately sweet interpretation…
Thanks, Sally. I was looking around today on the way to church and there are so many leaves that are dead, but still clinging to their branches.

Breathtaking. Such a fragile, fleeting moment, and you’ve managed to capture it, forever frozen in time.
That was creative Janet, taking a photograph of a leaf simply barely hanging from a branch without falling, well done. 🙂

You are welcome Janet. 🙂
Yes, that leaf refused to fall. 😀
