Randy, that comment’s just low hanging fruit. 🙂 I’m cheery rather than cherry this morning, despite another day of frigid cold. Hope you are, too, (cheery, that is, not frigid.)
How cold is frigid for you because we were in the mid 50’s this morning, which I liked – though others around me did not.
We had open windows, a little fresh breeze coming in, and cuddling in blankets.
Life down here is a starfruit, banana, and tangerine.
😉
Frigid would be a nighttime high of -4 with added wind chill down to -20 or so or even a high of 20 that feels like 10 or less with wind chill. On the other hand, I have bananas, tangerines, and navel oranges. 🙂
Hope you’re warm in Seattle, Charlie. Although this picture wasn’t taken today, it’s more than freezing here today…or less than freezing, well below zero with wind chill to be more precise. Thanks for stopping by and, as always, for you comment.
As a mere child, I partook of a full jar of maraschino cherries and can not bare to even look at another one since. And that is what this looks like. The ice surrounding it is nice, though! 🙂
cute
Thanks. Glad you like it.

welcome @sustainabilitea

Maraschino or Barbados?
🙂 Randy

This photo speaks for itself. Too bad Spring will come and melt that frozen drop of ice. Good job, Janet.

Thank, Allan. I had a wonderful time walking around in the snow taking photos. Frozen moments of beauty abounded.
Nicely spied and composed. Blur…
Even colder today, Sally, then when I took the photo, well below zero with wind chill this morning. Not a morning to be wandering about taking photos.

Exactly, bitter cold here too.
The frozen drop of water is a nice touch…Love your submission for this challenge.

Frozen in mid-drip. Nicely seen and captured.
Lovely macro
Thanks, Raewyn. Even in the cold and snow, there is much beauty.

Just keep repeating to yourself: This is NOT a cherry, this is NOT a cherry. 🙂

This is beautifully captured. I have tried to take berry pics while icy but they don’t glow like this! 🙂
The sun was just in the right spot. Glad you like it. It was a glorious day.
janet
I’d say so!
🙂 Thankfully, it’s going to warm up today (even thought that photo is from the end of last year.) I like winter, but it doesn’t have to be below zero.
janet
What a great picture Janet! It’s been SO hot here that your bit of ice looks extra beautiful 🙂
I’d be happy to send you about 10 degrees of cold, Debbie, although it’s going to get a bit warmer today.
janet
Reminds me of ice ball with sugar syrup. lovely.
Thanks, Indira, and happy 2016.

Happy 2016 to you.
Beautiful photo, such clarity and color!
Thanks, Terri. Glad you enjoyed it. iPhone cameras are quite good.

Stunning photo!
Thanks!
