Gorgeous light it is too, Janet.
It was one of those times when the beauty was almost more than I could bear, the combination of snow and light.
I absolutely love the light in this image and the yellow frame makes this photo ‘pop’. It won’t be long before the Freesia and Quince start to bloom.
It will be awhile here, Allan, but I’m looking forward to it with great anticipation. The day I took this photo, there was snow (not too much, but just enough) and light that gladden my soul. I think I walked with a huge smile on my face the entire time. I know I yelled a time or two with joy. 🙂
The one thing that I miss about snow is the way it scatters the light and ricochets thru shadows.
Nothing makes sharper contrast than white snow and bright sun. It must have been a gorgeous day
It was a day so beautiful that the joy that beauty gave me could scarcely be contained.
Blue and gold, so beautiful.
It was a truly beautiful day. I’m glad I could convey even a bit of that.
Such a beautiful photo – love the way you have captured the light through the trees
It was a day filled with light, Raewyn, and I tried to capture that in the photo.
This is so beautiful – I love the two seasons in the same photo, and the sunlight through the trees … it just makes me smile 🙂
Connie, it makes me happy to read this. 🙂
Lovely composition – like an impressionist painting.
I just need a bunch of blogs of paint and I could sell it as a Monet. 🙂 Thanks, Jan.
Oh….looks like Minnesota but no sun! Pretty Janet! 🙂
Hopefully you have some sun today, Nicole. We had sun all the while it was so very, very cold here. But the sun is certainly a mental help, isn’t it?
Yes Janet! We were in Virginia which was cold but not the six below zero like here!
Wonderful photograph depicting a wintry snowy scene. It would make perfect novel cover.
Thanks, Izzy. Now all I need is a story line. 🙂
~~ : – )
This is a beautiful composition and deserves to be hung on a wall.
That’s a lovely compliment! Thanks so much and thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment as well.\
You’re welcome Janet 🙂
Gorgeous, Janet! Certainly a day to be whooping with joy!
It was and I did. 🙂
Love the dappled winter light you captured, really makes a great image.
Thanks so much, Charlie. It’s always a good feeling to capture the feeling of what I saw.
