Just having some fun playing around with the photo I took in Scottsdale, Arizona. Feel free to weigh in on which you prefer.
Well done, Janet, I can’t choose… 🙂
I couldn’t either! 🙂
I like the second picture
Thanks for weighing in. I go back and forth about which I like best.
I like the close-up/macro 2nd from end. It looks like fabric. Great photo.
It’s fun to play with editing, although I still feel I should have an excellent photo at the beginning. Sometimes, though, editing can save the day and make something out of not much
I’m kinda partial to the B & W version.
I know, Norm. I was taken with it myself. B&W changes the emphasis, that’s for sure.
I think nr 2 the first one with the yellow frame is the best one.
Thanks for giving your opinion, Lena. I hope your Tuesday has been going well.
Yes thank you, at least so far 🙂
I vote for the second photo. 🙂
All votes cheerfully accepted and counted, Judy! 🙂
The second one keeps the delicacy evoked in your original. Maybe just a bit less bright color. It’s a lovely composition.
Thanks, Sally. Hope you had a lovely Tuesday.
The texture of #5 is wonderful, but my favorite is the second one. The subtle highlight where the stem meets the petal makes the whole image work. Good job and nice editing choices all around.
Thanks, Allan. Glad you enjoyed them all. #2 seems to be the winner so far
I guess I’m still in the “more is less” camp… I think that the last is best. True to the original, but slightly more vibrant and painterly.
And your vote counts, too, Hannah. Happy Fat Tuesday.
I like the second one best with its vivid color, detail, and border. I’m always impressed with your photos. Some of them are so interesting, with ‘character,’ making them so unique. 🙂 What make and model of camera do you use, Janet?
These were taken with my iPhone 5s, Joyce, as are many of the photos on my blog. The rest are taken with my Nikon, unless really old and those are taken with my iPad.
It takes very good pics.
That it does. 🙂
More than just a series of photographs. These deep yellow glories beckon you to crawl into them. Bask in their sunshine. Float on their lingering fragrance. Become one with them. A flower for every mood. Delightful!!!
So happy you enjoyed them!
Lovely – my favourite has to be the monochrome – it feels so sad
The monochrome also focuses the attention on the details and textures. I can see your reading the shot as sad.
Glad you liked it, Jan.
It’s impossible to choose, Janet! Each version has its own allure!
That’s what I like to hear. 🙂 Happy Wednesday, as you should be well on your way to it by now. Good morning to you all.
