  1. The seed pod us my favorite.

  2. Sue says:

    Love those teasels/seed pods!

  3. macmsue says:

The textures in the first photo are great.

  4. Janet, another wintry day and your first image reminds me of the seed pods of my coneflowers, which I often shoot. Your pods evoke many reactions, including delicacy and details of a spent flower. Nicely composed. Happy Photo Challenge.

  5. Beautiful detail in your first photo, Janet.

  6. Amy says:

    Beautiful seed pod image!

  7. Angeline M says:

The seed pods are lovely. I also like the second photo, the grittiness you bring out is perfect.

  8. That first image is wonderful – the second image has such a noir feel to it

  9. ChristineR says:

I was going to say I liked the pods the best until I read the signs on the building. Awesome, really added to the whole feel of that dark composition.

  10. Love the fabulous detail and composition in your images, well done.

  11. Su Leslie says:

These two shots work really well together Janet. The contrast of light and dark, nature and the human-made environment, round and angular. Love it!

  12. I like all the open space around the sharp needles.

  13. Tina Schell says:

Love that first shot Janet – must admit I’m not a big fan of iphoneography; probably because I’m just not very good at it. You’ve done a great job of mastering it!

    • Tina, it changed my photographic life due to the ease of carrying the phone, not just during the day, but while exercise walking in the park (although I do stop much more often while walking there!) I still have quite a ways to go with my iPhone skills, but I’m glad you like what I’ve accomplished so far. I need to work a LOT more with my Nikon, to figure out everything it’s capable of doing!

    The seedpods are beautiful!!

  15. I like the many layers of the organic image. The building is provocative, too.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
