Although my drug of choice is the mountains, I would without a problem take my dose of silence and solitude from the sea as well.  The entire quote is found beneath the photo.

My only drugs are silence and solitude,
and in an increasingly noisy, frantic, and crowded world,
on or under the sea is where I find them.

It is, Janet, silence and solitude in this photo. I find it in the forest.

    • I do, too, Leya. We have an excellent park system here and my favorite walk goes through a combination of prairie and forest (or at least lots of trees.) It’s not a large park, but I love it dearly.

  3. Nice. I think that is why I limit my daily time on line – too much noise. 🙂

  7. Hmm, I think I may have a drug problem then 😉

  10. Beautiful Janet – I love finding the silence in our native bushes – broken by the bird song. So calming for the soul

  11. Is this a path you can walk, Janet?
It looks very peaceful. Great photo and quote to go with it.
